The Lord’s Prayer
As Prayed by a Modern Christian

(With Humble and Sincere Apologies to Its Originator)

Our Father, which art in heaven,

O Lord, hallowed be your name, dear God.

Father, like, your kingdom, O Lord, come, God.

Lord, your will, Father, really be done, God, on earth, Lord,

Like, as it is, dear God, in heaven, O Father.

Just give us, dear God, today, Lord, our daily bread, dear Father.

O Lord, really forgive us, Almighty God, our debts, Lord God,

As we also, O Lord, have, like, just really forgiven our debtors, Father God.

And, dear Lord, just lead us not, Father God, into temptation, dear God,

But like, just really deliver us, dear Lord, from the evil one, O heavenly Father.

For thine, Lord, is really the kingdom, dear God, and really the power, O Lord,

And really the glory, God, for just ever and ever, Father God, Amen.
