Ede's White Christmas Pie
Ingredients

1 cup sugar

1/4 cup flour
-
1 envelope Knox gelatin
-
1/2 tsp salt
-
1/4 tsp cream of tarter
- 1 cup coconut
-
1 3/4 cups milk
-
3/4 tsp vanilla extract
-
1/4 tsp almond extract
-
3 egg whites
-
1/2 cup whipping cream
- 1 - 9" baked pie crust
Assemble these ingredients, and then...

Blend 1/2 cup sugar, flour, gelatin and salt thoroughly in
sauce pan.

Gradually stir in milk.

Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, stirring constantly.

Boil 1 minute.

Place in cold water to cool until mixture mounds slightly when
dropped from spoon.

Blend in flavorings.

Carefully fold into meringue made of egg whites, cream of
tarter and 1/2 cup sugar.

Gently fold in whipped cream, then fold in coconut.

Pile into cooled baked pie shell.
-
Sprinkle additional coconut on top.

Chill several hours.
Serve cold. Delicious topped with crushed
berries.
